Buildings & Grounds
We support the work of the church by creating an inviting, safe place to gather, worship and grow.
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE:
Building/Grounds Development Team: This team insures the safety, function, and upkeep of the parish grounds and buildings. Development teams meet each third Tuesday of the month, 6:30-8PM, September through May.
Church Cleaning: Helpers are needed to assist the custodial staff.
Special Events: Help with the set up and clean up for parish celebrations, concerts and feast days.
Painting: Painting and varnishing projects include both inside and outside areas and are scheduled as needed.
Garden Club: This group maintains the garden areas on the grounds at the north and south locations.
Cemetery Committee: This committee follows the policies and procedures recommended by the Catholic Diocese of the United States and Canada. This is a complex ministry that requires skill and understanding in these 3 areas:
Pastoral skills for working with the requests and concerns of the families of the deceased.
Surveying skills for measuring and marking the grave site to accommodate the headstone and vault/urn.
Administrative skills for assisting in the purchasing process of cemetery plots and the coordination of the gravestone placement with the monument companies.
