Keeping Everyone Safe...
As of March of 2020, with news that COVID-19 was spreading rampantly across the world and more specifically, Minnesota, Christ Our Light Catholic Parish made the decision to take unprecedented measures to ensure that we were doing our very best to keep our parishioners and visitors as safe as possible upon entering our doors. Your health and the health of your family was not something that we were willing to jeopardize. Masks, social distanced seating, outdoor Masses and Zoom meetings became the norm, all with the intention of reverting to “normal” as soon as it was safe to do so.
As the pandemic has continued to surge in our area and with the state of Minnesota and the Diocese of St. Cloud no longer mandating strict COVID-19 safety protocols, Christ Our Light decided to create a COVID-19 Task Force, as your health and safety remain our top priority. Our task force is comprised of Fr. Kevin, two staff members, two physicians and two parishioners (listed below). This group meets via Zoom every third week, at a minimum, to discuss current CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommendations, MDH (MN Department of Health) updates, current transmission rates within our local counties, as well as concerns expressed by our Diocese and parishioners. With this information in mind, recommendations are made for how to most safely approach Mass, FIRE and other events held at Christ Our Light.
